Dan has over 13 years of engineering and operations experience in the water and wastewater industry.
Dan has worked for two public water utilities in an operations capacity, making him knowledgeable of the day-to-day operations that keep water supply, water treatment and water distribution facilities functioning. His experience includes project and program management, hydraulic modeling, GIS implementation, water quality and drinking water utility regulatory compliance, sampling plan development and implementation, recycled water implementation, pilot studies, water quality and water supply watershed monitoring, groundwater recharge facility operations and water quality data analysis.
On a personal note
I pride myself in being able to understand the viewpoint of an operator or utility engineer. Utilities want project deliverables that are accessible and user-friendly, or they end up collecting dust on the shelf. Having spent the first six years of my career working for municipal water utilities, I understand the importance of utility- and operator-friendly solutions.
Throughout my career, I specialized in using GIS to solve modern day engineering problems. By combining a utilities’ spatial mapping information with facilities attribute data, I can develop programs and solutions that allow a utility to manage the decline of its aging infrastructure and meet the hydraulic needs of its expanding distribution system.
